Data evaluation in academia: Implementation guide
Creators
Description
The ‘Implementing Data Evaluation in Academia’ Working Group, a partnership between Make Data Count and HELIOS Open, has developed resources to support implementation of data evaluation as part of institutional processes, in particular hiring, review, promotion, and tenure. This implementation guide provides practical guidance for integrating open scholarship into institutional review processes. It supports institutions, researchers, and review committees in recognizing data and other open outputs as integral to research assessment. The guide includes three sections:
- Sample language for tenure and promotion policies
- A researcher CV template
- Guidance for review committees and external reviewers
