Description

This document specifies a cryptographic architecture for verifiable content provenance that maintains unlinkability by default while enabling voluntary self-disclosure. The system uses Pedersen commitments combined with Certificate Transparency-style logs to allow creators to prove the link between their persistent identity (PoP-UID) and anonymous pseudonyms (Pseud-UID) only when they choose to do so. This design avoids the dangers of "Proof-of-Humanhood" credential systems while still enabling reputation-building through verifiable chains of custody. We extend C2PA (Content Credentials) to include commitment anchors and propose a cultural mechanism based on reputation gradients rather than access control.
