Description

Preliminary catalog set. These may change prior to paper publication, and an updated version will be shared here.

Two grids of synthetic star catalogs from -4.0<=l<=4.0 and -4.0<=b<=4.0 in Galactic coordinates (degrees), with 0.1 degree spacing. The lens set includes all stars in the sight line from 0.8 to 100 solar masses. The src set cuts at an apparent magnitude of W146_AB=25. Simulation field sizes are set to generate ~12,000 stars per catalog, with the solid angle used for each .csv catalog saved in its respective .log file. Stars with initial mass below 0.1 solar masses are beyond the isochrone grid and have no synthetic photometry or evolved properties; current masses assume no mass loss for these stars. Compact objects beyond the isochrone grids similarly only have initial properties and a final current mass based on an initial-final mass relation.

The SynthPop runs used the huston2025_defaults.synthpop_conf default configuration, with a few properties overridden by the specific configuration files included in this repository. This model version will be fully presented in an upcoming paper (Huston et al., in prep.). Citations to model components will be presented in this paper, and are described in the documentation of the imported modules.

Roman filter synthetic photometry is provided in the AB system.

v2: Corrected bug in kinematics that affected the U Galactic motion component (primarily affecting VR, not proper motions, though all kinematics have been re-generated from scratch).

v3: Corrected bug in compact object handling to reassign neutron stars incorrectly set to be white dwarfs previously. This affects the lens catalogs only, not source, as these are only dark compact objects with no magnitudes.

v4: Corrected bug in bulge star kinematics that primarily impacted radial velocities and had a small impact on l-direction proper motion.

v5: Improved extinction estimation method for Roman filters (Huston et al., in prep) and added streaming motion along the bar to kinematics, which was not present in an older version of the SynthPop model. File restructuring: catalogs are now .h5 files, .logs are excluded, and catalog star counts and solid angles (steradian) are provided in grid_info.txt. Some redundant or technical data columns were removed to reduce file size.
