Thainycteris aureocollaris, a remarkable new genus and species of vespertilionine bats from SE-Asia (Mammalia: Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae).

Description
(Uploaded by Plazi for the Bat Literature Project) Thainycteris aureocollaris n.g., n.sp. is described from Chiang Mai Province, northern Thailand, on the basis of five specimens. The coloration , morphology of the rostral portion of the skull, and the dental characters distinguish the new taxon from all other vespertilionine genera.
