Chastity as a Couples' Practice
Authors/Creators
Description
This paper presents findings from a survey of over 500 couples in the United States and Denmark on the adoption and effects of chastity practices within relationships. The study explores motivations, usage patterns, impacts on intimacy, sexual desire, erectile ability, and the role of orgasm dynamics. Results show that chastity becomes progressively integrated over time, with nightly use strongly correlated with erectile decline, while reward session practices and orgasm exclusivity are central to sustaining intimacy and balancing sexual desire levels. Although biases must be acknowledged, the findings suggest that chastity, when combined with structured intimacy rituals, can improve relationship balance in couples with mismatched sexual desire.
