Two Faces of the Total Wave MSE: From Garage Polarizers to Theoretical Fields, It's the Same Equation
Authors/Creators
Description
This short essay shows that the Total Wave Modified Schrödinger Equation (TWMSE) has two faces that look different but are actually the same skeleton.
Garage version: Collapse measured in a $20 double-slit + polarizer demo. Stripes fade as overlap falls, and collapse is triggered when visibility drops below a threshold.
Theory version: Collapse derived from field interference terms (γⱼ, δⱼ, Ψⱼ), triggered when a wave-based collapse resource crosses a threshold.
Both are just Schrödinger + a damping switch, written in two different alphabets: lab knobs (V, κ) vs. field parameters (γ, δ).
The essay uses a bread-rising analogy to explain the equivalence: the garage version measures the “mark on the bowl,” the theoretical version explains the yeast chemistry — but both describe the same rise.
