Role of Mobile Apps in Knowledge Dissemination and Advisory

Description

The widespread use of mobile technology has revolutionized how knowledge is communicated and advice are delivered in a variety of industries, including agriculture, health, and education.  Mobile applications (apps) have developed as effective tools for providing farmers, extension workers, and other stakeholders with real-time, location-specific, and demand-driven information.  This article looks at the function of mobile applications in information transmission and advice, with a special emphasis on agricultural.It demonstrates how mobile apps close information gaps by giving immediate updates on weather, crop management, pest control, and market pricing.  The conversation also delves into the socioeconomic implications of mobile applications, how they integrate with other information and communication technologies (ICTs), and difficulties such as digital literacy, infrastructural constraints, and confidence in digital advisories. The study indicates that mobile applications have become essential in current extension systems, providing participative, inclusive, and technologically enabled knowledge dissemination.
