Data accompanying manuscript: Complex mesoscale landscapes beneath Antarctica mapped from space
Description
This repository contains the datasets which accompany the code for the manuscript "Complex mesoscale landscapes beneath Antarctica mapped from space". Small datasets are stored in the folder "Data_science_zenodo", and large datasets in "Large_data_science". More details about the datasets can be found in the accompanying Github repository in the notebook "Antarctic_FIGURES.ipynb", available at DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.11145291.
It also contains a high resolution version of Figure 1 from the manuscript, which can be generated using the datasets and code available.
The IFPA topography map has now been incorporated into BedMachine Antarctica v4, alongside ice thickness estimates from IceBoost for periphery glaciers and the Peninsula, and ocean bathymetry from AntGG in some coastal regions. We recommend using BedMachine Antarctica v4 rather than the IFPA_C50.nc map (referred to in the manuscript as IFPA_meso), as it includes the additional radar correction to ensure that the novel mesoscale details are consistent with all the available geophysical data, and uses other techniques such as mass conservation in regions where they are more appropriate.
