Abstract
We present experimental verification of key predictions from Wave Confinement Theory (WCT), demonstrating that quantized beta resonance and mass-like behavior can emerge from confined photonic oscillations in a curvature-regulated medium.
Using a chilled water-filled Fabry–Pérot or W shape optical cavity subjected to gentle angular perturbation and a 532 nm continuous-wave laser, we observe stable harmonic resonances that persist for up to 60 seconds after the laser source is blocked. This “light-off” coherence retention is consistent with curvature-locked standing waves and confirms the existence of topologically stabilized β modes, as predicted by WCT.
Control tests confirm the absence of resonance when any critical element, confined medium, laser stimulus, or mirror alignment, is removed. The measured exponential decay in FFT harmonic amplitudes, temperature dependence, and sensitivity to angular swirl support WCT’s entropy–curvature feedback model. Observed spontaneous quantization of angular modes without traditional boundary conditions further strengthens the topological interpretation.
These results complete Phase 4 of the WCT experimental roadmap, marking the first reproducible demonstration of coherent photonic confinement, spontaneous β quantization, and light-induced inertia-like persistence in a fluid cavity. The findings suggest a purely geometric origin of mass, offering a potential mechanism for artificial mass generation via wave confinement.
