D.4.2 Call documentation v1

This document is deliverable 4.2 “Call documentation v1”. The present deliverable is primarily related to the first open call: FOODITY – Open Call #1 (hereinafter “open call”). It compiles the documentation (which is defined as annexes of the open call) that formalises the rules and procedures for stakeholders’ (third parties) participation in the open call and respective funding programme.

This deliverable is developed within the framework of Task 4.2. The objective of this task (Open Call Coordination), which is under WP4 “Outreach and open calls management”, is to support SMEs, research and training organisations and social innovation actors in developing data-driven solutions that aid in the transition to sustainable food systems while boosting citizen data sovereignty. Apart from providing tailored mentoring services for scaling, technical support and sustainability (among other business needs areas), this programme offers up to €187,500 per beneficiary to scale their products and services.

This open call focuses on three key areas: personalised nutrition, food sustainability and shopping experiences. The FOODITY project is making available components and technologies that will be required for incorporation into proposed solutions (three of the six funded pilots).

To achieve this objective, T4.2 is responsible for the organisation and management of two open calls. These open calls are expected to create conditions to attract and engage the mentioned stakeholders, and to fund innovative, data-driven solutions which can advance in their development during the pilot programme to become market-ready products.
