Bridging the Past: Interactive Visualization and Graph- RAG for Accessible Berlin Transport History

How do we make rich historical research accessible to everyone? This poster explores using Graph-RAG technology to transform a complex database of Berlin's divided transport history into a conversational interface where anyone can ask questions like "How would I travel from East to West Berlin in 1975?" The project demonstrates practical approaches for bridging expert historical knowledge and public engagement, creating new pathways for communities to explore and interact with their urban history through natural language conversations rather than technical database queries.
