Threads of Reality: Book 1

Threads of Reality: Book I introduces a novel framework for understanding the foundations of physics. At its core lies the idea that reality is woven from fundamental threads—the primitive carriers of extension and duration—which together form the spacetime lattice we experience. This weave is contrasted with the void, a true non-being where no geometry or causality exists. From this ontology, the familiar constants of nature emerge naturally: the speed of light ccc as the propagation speed along threads, Planck’s constant ℏ\hbarℏ as the finite quantum of action, and Newton’s constant GGG as the measure of inter-thread coupling. Relativity and quantum mechanics are shown not as independent postulates, but as emergent symmetries of the weave.

A key result is the identification of a discovery scale Lk, a mesoscopic cutoff where vacuum fluctuations are suppressed. This provides a natural resolution to the cosmological constant problem and yields concrete experimental predictions: modified Casimir forces, possible deviations in short-range gravity, and spectral cutoffs in vacuum noise.

This first book lays the conceptual and mathematical foundation for the Threads of Reality program, opening a path toward a unified picture of physics grounded in geometry, discreteness, and the balance between being and void.
