Dromedary Camel Optimization Algorithm
Authors/Creators
Description
This paper proposes an optimization algorithm inspired by the behavioral characteristics of dromedary camels—the Dromedary Camel Optimization (DCO). This algorithm mimics the dromedary's behavior in finding water and pasture in the desert, leveraging biological mechanisms such as hump energy storage, water source memory, group collaboration, and adaptability to the dune environment. The algorithm design includes core modules such as energy-driven dynamic step size, environmentally sensitive perturbations, historical optimal memory, and group energy exchange, enabling adaptive search for global optimization problems. This paper details the algorithm's mathematical formulation, mechanism derivation, and pseudocode, providing a theoretical foundation and implementation approach for subsequent optimization research.
