Métodos Qualitativos Aplicados em Economia Criativa

This book reflects the efforts and results of a collective entity and a global network. In this sense, we believe it would be fair for the authorship of this preliminary text to be in everyone's name. Therefore, we chose the institutional signature that represents us in this case: UNESCO Chair in Creative Economy & Public Policies (CEPP).
This UNESCO Chair was institutionally recognized in May 2022 and is based at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). It is a network that brings together more than 20 higher education institutions in all five regions of Brazil, as well as foreign universities, scientific societies, and non-academic organizations.
Based on an interdisciplinary approach, this Chair acts as a center of excellence focused on the production and dissemination of knowledge on the Creative Economy and Public Policies. Its areas of activity include encouraging academic research, training professionals and researchers, establishing collaborative networks, and fostering the implementation of evidence-informed public policies. Its strategic objectives include: creating an open-access virtual library via the Zenodo platform; developing training programs for different audiences; promoting events that foster the exchange of knowledge; and expanding the dialogue between academia, government, civil society, and the creative sectors. As a culmination of this Chair's movement, this work is inserted in a context of valuing knowledge as an instrument of social transformation. By bringing together researchers committed to scientific methodologies with a qualitative approach, applied to the complexity of the Creative Economy, the book contributes to strengthening an innovative, democratic public agenda connected to local and global realities. It is hoped that this publication will inspire new research, collaborations, and concrete actions toward a more creative, inclusive, and sustainable economy.
