Signal Detection Theory (SDT) Assistant

SDT Assistant V3.0 is signal detection theory (SDT) analysis software for psychophysical and sensory data. Following the third edition of Detection Theory: A User’s Guide (Hautus, Macmillan, & Creelman, 2021), SDT Assistant was comprehensively updated to support the analyses described in that edition. The software supports receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve fitting for rating data from Yes–No (A–Not A), 2AFC (two-alternative forced choice), 2AFCR (2AFC with reminder), Same–Different, and Yes–No with reminder tasks. It also includes a curve generator, binary-response d′ calculators, preference-model analyses, and calculators for tables reported in the book.

Note. This release is superseded by SDT Assistant V3.1 and is retained on Zenodo to support reproducible citation of earlier analyses.
