Daily methane (CH₄) emission measurements from paddy fields in Gimje, Korea (2022–2024)
Description
This dataset contains three years of daily methane (CH₄) flux measurements from rice paddies in Gimje, Korea. The observations were made with static chambers between 2022 and 2024 and provide detailed information on both field conditions and greenhouse gas emissions.
For each field, metadata describe the location (latitude and longitude), rice variety, planting and harvesting dates, soil texture, water management practices, grain yield (g m⁻²), and total seasonal CH₄ emissions (kg CH₄ ha⁻¹ season⁻¹). The accompanying daily flux files include the number of days after transplanting (DAT), mean air temperature (°C), water management status, daily CH₄ flux (g CH₄ m⁻² day⁻¹), and precipitation (mm day⁻¹).
These data were collected to support research on greenhouse gas emissions from rice cultivation. They are intended to be useful for developing and testing emission models, refining emission factors, and improving national greenhouse gas inventories.
