The Reilly Resilience Protocol (RRP): A Tamper-Evident, Blockchain-Anchored Framework for Proving IT, Cloud, and AI System Resilience
Authors/Creators
Description
The Reilly Resilience Protocol (RRP) introduces a tamper-evident, blockchain-anchored framework for continuously proving the resilience of IT systems, cloud infrastructures, and AI pipelines. Traditional monitoring and audit logs can be altered, lost, or fail to demonstrate when a claim was valid. RRP closes this gap by standardizing how resilience checks are run, signed, preserved, and anchored on a public blockchain.
The protocol defines a clear step-by-step process: collectors run active tests (e.g., uptime, backup-restore, AI drift), results are normalized into signed JSON evidence, artifacts are stored immutably in cloud object storage, and a daily Merkle root is anchored on a public chain. Executives receive a board-ready Resilience Scorecard, while auditors and regulators can independently verify every claim using cryptographic proofs.
RRP provides a practical, low-cost, high-assurance assurance layer that converts resilience from narrative to receipts. It supports compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, and HIPAA, with reference implementations for AWS, Azure, and GCP. By combining cryptographic signatures, immutable storage, and blockchain anchoring, the Reilly Resilience Protocol establishes a new standard for transparent, verifiable digital resilience.
