SOURCES USED IN BELARUSIAN DISSERTATION AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH: ANALYSIS OF BIBLIOGRAPHY

The article presents the data of the research devoted to the determination of the
volume and type structure of the information and documentary flow of bibliographic lists for
dissertations, which were finalised according to the users' requests in the Belarusian Agricultural
Library in 2024. The following research methods are specified: bibliographic analysis and
quantitative document counting. The total number of records in the lists is derived, the number of
records for each type and kind of documents is determined. The standards on the basis of which the
table of document type structure was formed are specified. The types of documents that occupy the
main place in the structure of document flow of bibliographic lists for dissertations in the field of
agriculture were defined as articles from journals and monographs. The article shows the quantitative
and percentage ratio of the types of certain documents (including unpublished ones) and types of
constituent parts of documents (articles, chapters from monographs). In conclusion, it is noted that
the analysis of the documentary flow can help in the work of the library in the acquisition of
information resources and providing information services to scientists.
