FROM THE HISTORY OF INVENTION AND RATIONALIZATION IN THE AGRICULTURЕ OF THE BSSR

Description

The article gives a historical review of the moovement of inventors and innovators
in the agriculturе of Soviet Belarus. Special attention is paid to their activities in 1960–1980s. Тhe
members of the All-Union Society of Inventors and Innovators, which was created in 1958, carried
out a great deal of work to improve production and introduce technological advances and best
practices into it. Trade unions developed and directed the creative activity of production innovators.
However during the years of «perestroika» the activity of All-Union Society of Inventors and
Innovators weakened due to economic and political changes and upheavals in the
country. Shortcomings in the organization of invention and rationalization in the agro-industrial
complex of Belarus are noted.
