Typology is a field of linguistics that examines cross-linguistic topics. These issues can be of interest to terminologists. This article provides a definition of typology and highlights the relationship between typology and terminology. The issues of typology that are useful for terminologists to be familiar with are listed, and finally, generalizations are proposed using Greenberg's approach to typology.
