Information Transfer and the Information Infrastructure

Description

Information transfer should be considered from two perspectives: 1. As a set of specialized tasks that encompass the entire information transfer process. 2. As a set of policies, tools, and resources that constitute the information infrastructure. With this dual perspective in mind, principles for advancing information transfer must be considered, and based on these principles, plans for expanding information transfer should be presented.
