Authors/Creators
Description
This poster was presented at CoRDI 2025 and corresponds to the abstract "Digital preservation and archiving in the NFDI - Between established standards, missing awareness and approaches to open questions" (10.5281/zenodo.16735966). The poster introduces digital preservation (sometimes also called long-term archiving), its relevance, activites of the NFDI working group Long-Term Access and Preservation (LTA), including results from the survey regarding digital preservation in NFDI consortia, and future activities. The survey revealed that only 23 % of NFDI consortia offer content preservation (with 35 % missing answers). The working group submitted a digital preservation and archiving consultation service for funding and intends to continue working on current topics (e. g. digital preservation in DMPs, software preservation, clear responsibilities and documentation of preservation status).
