Description
Acinia corniculata (Zetterstedt, 1819)
Material examined. Zavoloka, 09.07.2021, 1♀ (V. Korneyev leg.).
Distribution. Great Britain and France to Finland and Ukraine (Merz & Korneyev, 2004). In western and central Ukraine; Chernivtsi Region (first record).
Notes. Strictly oligophagous or monophagous species; on the meadows; larvae in flower heads of Centaurea jacea (Merz, 1994). Overwinters as larvae in cocoons on the ground.
