Description

Zaira cinerea (Fallén, 1810)

Material examined. 2♀♀, Iran, Guilan, Roodsar (Orkom), 36°45.73'N, 50°18.19'E, 1201 m, 11. VI.2010, Malaise trap, TMUC, leg. M. Khayrandish; 1♂, Iran, West Azerbaijan, Uremia (Marmisho), 37°35.04'N, 44°38.13'E, 1353 m, 26.VII.2014, sweep net, ICHMM, leg. S. Khaghaninia.

Distribution. Palaearctic - Widely distributed in Europe, also from Middle East (Israel; Iran – Gheibi et al., 2009), Mongolia, Russia, Central Asia (Turkmenistan), Transcaucasia, China, Japan, North Korea (O’Hara et al., 2020).

Host range. Coleoptera - Scarabaeidae: Triodonta raymondi (Perris, 1869) and many genera and species of Carabidae (see Tschorsnig, 2017:52–53).
