Description
The contribution of Prof. Leon Wachholz (1867-1942) – the most outstanding Polish forensic pathologist – to the development of forensic entomology was recalled. Prof. Wachholz was the author of a first Polish review paper on forensic entomology. He also wrote about it in his forensic medicine textbook, considered a classic, and supported entomological research conducted in the department he headed by Edward Niezabitowski and Stefan Horoszkiewicz.
