Description

The manual entitled "Rilevamenti della vegetazione e della diversità vegetale – Inventario Forestale Nazionale Italiano (IFNI 2025) – Manuale di campo – Rilevamenti 2025 – panel 1" describes the field activities planned for 2025 (panel 1), which focus on surveying a subsample corresponding to 10% of the second-phase points.

These activities will be carried out by botanical experts selected by the Italian Botanical Society (SBI), under the coordination and supervision of the University of Camerino – School of Biosciences and Veterinary Medicine, Plant Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management Unit (UNICAM). The initiative is developed in collaboration with the University of Florence – Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Forestry Sciences, PlantDive Lab (UNIFI), and with the participation of the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna – Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences, BIOME Lab (UNIBO).

NOTE: This manual supports the objectives of the Collaboration Agreement between "Arma dei Carabinieri Comando Unità Forestali, Ambientali e Agroalimentari" (CUFA ) and UNICAM, providing scientific guidance for the implementation of the botanical component of biodiversity within the Italian National Forest Inventory (IFNI2025) during 2025 and 2026 survey years.
