Description

This publication contains the slides from the second part of the workshop Nagoya Beyond Borders: Genetic Resources & Benefit Sharing (Legal Workshop Episode II), held on 7th May 2025. The event was organized as part of the Legal Training Series “Don’t panic! Survival guide for Law and Ethics in Research”, which offers practical guidance for researchers on navigating legal and ethical questions in scientific practice.

The workshop series is jointly organized in cooperation between NFDI4Biodiversity, FAIRagro, and NFDI4Earth.

This session was led by Amber Hartman Scholz and Melania Muñoz-García.

The slides from this second part focus on the Nagoya Protocol in practice, exploring how its provisions are implemented and applied in real-world research contexts. They address practical challenges, compliance requirements, and benefit-sharing considerations that researchers and institutions encounter when working with genetic resources across borders.
