Description
This dataset was used to assess mental well-being, anxiety, and mood or depressive disorders, including at preclinical stages. The dataset includes responses provided by volunteers to internationally validated surveys, administered both before and after the intervention (Phase IIa and Phase IIb), employing the following standardized psychological instruments:
1) State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI): A widely used tool for measuring both state and trait anxiety. It is suitable for use in both clinical and general populations. Higher scores reflect higher levels of anxiety, helping to differentiate anxiety from depression (Spielberger et al., 1983).
2) Perceived Stress Scale (PSS): Measures how individuals perceive stress in their lives, emphasizing their thoughts and feelings over the past month. Participants are encouraged to respond quickly and intuitively, minimizing overthinking (Cohen et al., 1983).
3) Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS): Designed to measure mental well-being in the general population and to evaluate the impact of programs, policies, and interventions aimed at improving well-being. The scale is available in two versions: the full 14-item version and a shorter 7-item version. The 14-item version uses five response categories, which are summed to produce an overall score (Tennant et al., 2007).
Data are stored by ULL, and each data file is accompanied by a data dictionary to support the identification and interpretation of the variables, questions, and response options.
