Ground Surface Temperature and Differential Pressure Data and its Analysis at Waste Rock Dump near Shaft 9, Příbram, Czechia

Description

This repository contains ground surface temperature (GST) and differential pressure measurements collected at a waste rock dump near Shaft No. 9, Příbram, Czechia, between March 25, 2024 and June 6, 2025. The files include exact sensor locations, with additional details provided in the accompanying README files. This dataset is accompanied by a research article (add name and doi once finalized).

The dataset supports research on airflow within the permeable material of the waste rock dump. GST was measured using thermometers installed approximately 20 cm below the surface, while differential pressure was recorded with custom-built dataloggers based on SM9333 pressure sensors (description and schematic is included). These sensors measured the pressure difference between a subsurface point (approx. 50 cm depth) and the surface atmosphere.

In addition to the measurements, the repository includes Python scripts used for data analysis. Software requirements are listed in the README files. Meteorological reference data (Meteo_241022.csv and Meteo_250219.csv) were obtained from Open-Meteo.com, which uses the ERA5, ERA5-Land, and CERRA reanalysis datasets, all available under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Data files are provided in .txt and .csv formats; analysis scripts are provided as .py files. 

The repository is distributed as a .zip archive to retain the original directory structure, ensuring that the scripts can be executed in place without modification.
