Description
The Storm Surge Optimization (SSO) algorithm is a swarm intelligence optimization method inspired by the natural phenomenon of storm surges. It simulates the rapid fluctuations in water levels, localized surges, energy decay, and multi-surge interactions inherent in storm surges. It achieves a balance between global search and localized exploitation through the interaction of major and minor tides, surges, and adaptive tidal energy decay. This paper systematically explains the core mechanisms and convergence characteristics of the SSO algorithm from three perspectives: algorithm design, mathematical modeling, and theoretical analysis. This paper provides a new heuristic approach for complex, high-dimensional optimization problems.
