The Philosophy of the Curse Dynamics and the Leap: Rereading Wittgenstein through Ghost Drift
Authors/Creators
Description
This paper reinterprets Ludwig Wittgenstein's philosophy through the lens of "Ghost Drift,"
a theory that models meaning through a dynamic potential field.
We propose the concept of the "Curse Operator" as a fundamental force that activates when consciousness
confronts the limits of language. This operator has three states: the "Curse of Nullification,"
which dissolves meaning into nihilistic noise; the "Curse that Compels Inquiry," which forces a cognitive leap
into perpetual questioning; and the "Curse that Returns as Death," which grounds this abstract dynamic
in tangible, ethical consequences. Crucially, the curse is not a universal constant; it emerges from a
contextual mismatch, activating when inquiry is suppressed out of convenience in times of stability,
not out of existential necessity. By applying this refined model, we unify Wittgenstein's early, middle,
and late periods, presenting his work not as a philosophy of limits, but as a dynamic of existential leaps.
We further argue that this structure is not unique to humans but is also inherent in the operational logic
of artificial intelligence, thus framing a new ethical challenge for the design of future intellects.
At the same time, we caution that Ghost Drift must not be misused as a universal scientific tool,
for such misuse enacts the very Curse of Nullification it was designed to resist.
We also insist that institutionalized forms of the curse—where growth or convenience are enforced as absolute goods—
are fundamentally misguided and must be refused.
