Simulated CT Dataset – Welsh Dragon in Non-Standard Cone-Beam Geometry
Authors/Creators
Description
This sample is the Red Dragon (the famous emblem of Wales), simulated in gVirtualXray using the EG 2011 Welsh Dragon dataset. The Welsh Dragon mesh model was released by Bangor University, UK, for Eurographics 2011.
This is a simulated cone-beam CT scan with variations in the source and detector positions and detector directions.
This dataset consists of:
`projections` directory containing:
- 500 projections, saved as tiffs. Panel size: 160x160
- a `geom.csv` file which contains the source position, detector position and detector x and y direction vectors.
`recon` directory containing:
- reconstructed data, saved as tiff files. Generated using the Core Imaging Library (CIL)'s wrapper for ASTRA's FDK.
This is used in CIL-Demos: 07_flexible_geometry.ipynb showcasing Cone3D_Flex geometry in the Core Imaging Library.
