SUBGENUS Chrysopodes (Neosuarius) Adams and Penny, 1987

Chrysopodes (Neosuarius) Adams and Penny, 1987: 435. Type species: Chrysopa collaris Schneider, 1851; original designation.

The subgenus includes 11 described species distributed throughout the Neotropics, adults are pollen-feeders, and females have a slightly extended subgenitale (Brooks and Barnard 1990). There is one species in Canada, as follows:
