Datasets for manuscript "Connected reservoirs: modelling aquatic ecosystems along a cascade system in Brazil"

This dataset contains input files for simulating the hydrodynamics and water quality of six reservoirs (BB, BA, IB, PR, NA , TI) situated along the Tietê River (Brazil). The simulation uses the General Lake Model coupled with the Aquatic EcoDynamics (GLM-AED2). Together, these files enable the reproduction of long-term simulations (2008–2016) of thermal structure and ecological dynamics in the reservoirs.

Each zipped folder includes: 
i) meteorological data (hourly resolution);
ii) inflow and outflow boundary condition files with physical and biogeochemical parameters (e.g., flow, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, and phytoplankton);
iii) configuration files (.nml) defining model setup, morphometry, mixing parameters, and water quality settings.
