Description

Using an ‘end-to-end’ climate damage attribution method, we estimate that climate damages to the U.S. economy from its own power sector emissions total \$78 billion (2015 USD; 95% confidence interval (CI) of $41-128 billion) over the 1973-2023 period. Damages will continue to accrue from the warming attributable to those historical emissions.
