Description

The escalating prominence of social media platforms has engendered a change in basic
assumptions in advertising strategies, compelling businesses to re-evaluate traditional marketing
approaches and embrace the unique opportunities presented by these digital ecosystems. Social
media advertising provides businesses with unprecedented avenues for engaging with target
audiences, fostering brand awareness, and ultimately driving sales (Zhu, 2024). The pervasive
nature of social media, with billions of active users across diverse demographics, makes it an
indispensable tool for marketers seeking to expand their reach and connect with consumers on a
personal level (“Impact of Social Media Advertisement on Consumer Purchasing Behaviour,”
2021). The relatively low cost of launching an advertising campaign and the potential to reach a
vast audience are key drivers behind the growing popularity of social media marketing (Ignatov,
2019). The capacity to monitor consumer attention, enhance brand recognition, and foster greater
consumer engagement are other benefits that social media provides to marketers (Hisyam et al.,
