Data presented in the manuscript "Roles of Environmental and Microbial Factors in Shaping Dissolved Organic Matter across Multiple Ecosystems". Contains the data set on dissolved organic matter (DOM) compositions and environmental variables of samples from four ecosystems. There are the details of the three files :

• Guo_et_al_2025_Physical_and_chemical factors: containing the detailed physical and chemical information of samples, including geophysical information, water chemistry, DOC and ion concentration.
• Guo_et_al_2025_DOM_characteristics.xlsx: containing DOM dataset based on FT-ICR-MS
• Guo_et_al_2025_universal_and_non-universal DOM_characteristics:  The universal and non-universal DOM dataset  based on FT-ICR-MS
