This work introduces the Double-Emergence Framework and the Double-Emergence Suppression (DES) mechanism. The central claim is that physics is layered by two successive coarse-grainings:
(1) a quantum substrate → emergent spacetime (via modular theory and the KMS/Unruh structure), then
(2) spacetime → thermodynamic gravity (via the entanglement first law).
Because gravity only appears after the second emergence, its effective coupling is strongly suppressed—explaining gravity’s extreme weakness without inserting a small parameter by hand.
What this resolves / reframes

Hierarchy problem: GGG is small because of double coarse-graining (information-loss suppression).

Cosmological constant problem: vacuum energy is not a bare GR input but an emergent, coarse-grained quantity.

Black hole information paradox: gravity is thermodynamic; information bookkeeping lives at the substrate/modular level.

Unification: gauge forces arise at the first layer; gravity at the second—unified by architecture rather than symmetry.

Nature of spacetime & arrow of time: spacetime and its thermodynamics are emergent, fixing their directionality.
Method (three stages)

Minimal operational postulates → orthomodular logic → complex Hilbert space (QM).

Modular theory + local KMS/Unruh → fixes Lorentzian causal structure (spacetime).

Entanglement first law + horizon thermodynamics → Einstein-type dynamics with GGG set by DES.
