Interculturalidade e Pedagogia Decolonial
Description
The article articulates decolonial pedagogy and intercultural education as pathways toward a more just education in contexts marked by historical inequalities. Drawing on the works of Dussel, Quijano, and Freire, it analyzes the relationships between coloniality, power, and education. Decolonial pedagogy advocates for the valorization of marginalized knowledge systems and the deconstruction of Eurocentric epistemologies, while intercultural education promotes dialogue and respect for diversity. The Iroquois Confederacy is highlighted as a historical example that challenges colonial education. The article defends critical intercultural education as a tool for social transformation, aligned with decolonial pedagogy, capable of fostering liberating dialogue and critical awareness.
