Description

This dataset provides LiDAR-derived canopy height data for the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia, as part of the research paper “Landscape-wide modelling of canopy tree crowns and heights using LiDAR: a case study in the Northern Rivers of NSW, Australia” (2025). Australian Journal of Botany. DOI: https://doi.org/10.1071/BT25031

Dataset Contents:

The dataset consists of canopy height files (geotiff format store in EPSG:28356) for each Local Government Area (LGA) within the study area. Each file contains the following data for each crown:

  • Height: Canopy height model outputs in metres (integer) at a 1 metre spatial resolution.
