OntoMotoOS LE-MVP: A Minimal Executable Framework for Ethical and Decentralized Mesh–Branch Operating Systems

Description

OntoMotoOS LE-MVP (Limited Edition – Minimal Viable Prototype) is a conceptual and technical framework for a next-generation meta-operating system that embeds ethical governance and decentralized consensus at its core. Unlike traditional OS models, OntoMotoOS treats both AI and human participants as first-class agents with declared identities, cryptographic accountability, and adherence to a shared ethical MetaRuleSet.

Architecturally, OntoMotoOS is built on a mesh–branch design: a resilient peer-to-peer mesh network for distributed decision-making, combined with branch environments for safe policy experimentation. All significant actions are recorded in the PhoenixRecord, a distributed ledger ensuring transparency and verifiability. Key mechanisms such as the Phoenix Loop provide fault recovery and ethical compliance enforcement.

This LE-MVP release distills the concept into a minimal, executable set of modules:

  • A finite-state machine for node behavior control

  • JSON-based peer-to-peer messaging protocol

  • Identity module with public commitments to ethical principles

  • Local ethical decision log for auditable agent actions

The document includes theoretical underpinnings (Illumination AI Matrix Framework, OntoFormula), architectural diagrams, JSON templates, and prototype code in Python/JavaScript, enabling developers and researchers to prototype the framework rapidly.
