NOA-ReACT/interpolator_for_wrfchem: v1.5.1
Description
Changes in v1.5.1:
- When the WRF model pressure is higher than the global model's on the first level when counting from the surface, instead of extrapolating the script now uses the last value of the global model. So all point with pressures equal or higher than the surface pressure of the global model get assigned the same value for any interpolated fields. This change is aimed to help reduce the 'unnaturalness' of some initial condition fields generated but you will still see some discontinuities, depending on the exact orography of your domain.
Changes in v1.5.0:
- When processing wrfbdy files, instead of reading the pressure information from met_em files, the script now uses the information from the wrfinput file. The difference is usually small between the two fields is small (depends on orography near the border, but around 20hPa away from the surface) and I am unsure which is one 'more correct'.
