Life form:—Subshrub.
Habitat:—High Altitude Tropical Grasslands, growing in the mountain ranges of Bocaina, Capivari and Ibitiraquire at an elevation of 1386–1700 m a.s.l.
Geographic distribution:—Antonina: A.Y. Mocochinski et al. 283 (UPCB!). Bocaiúva do Sul: O.S. Ribas & E. Barboza 3173 (MBM!). Campina Grande do Sul: F.S. Meyer & E.D. Lozano 2123 (MBM!).
Number of gatherings:—22. Most recent record:—2015.
Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 210.628 km 2 and AOO = 16 km 2.
Conservation unit:—Pico Paraná State Park.
