Life form:—Subshrub.

Habitat:—Subtropical Highland Grasslands, growing in sand soil at an elevation of 792–1077 m a.s.l.

Geographic distribution:—Balsa Nova: I.M. Langohr 26 (HUCP). Lapa: O.S. Ribas, OS; J.M. Silva 202 (MBM!). Palmeira: G. Hatschbach 20154 (FUEL!).

Number of gatherings:—13. Most recent record:—2013.

Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 809.551 km 2 and AOO = 20 km 2.
