Purananooru is considered the most important of Sangam work. This book highlights the life of the brave men of that time. The life of the ancient people represents as a model to the present day men.  It is the main reason that many foreign scholars are attracted to Tamil language. The sangam kings were valiant, followed the rules of war, fought with their enemies, and established victory.  Poets have sung praises about the valor, fame and strength of the Moovendar kings. When you hear the word war, the first thought that comes to our mind is destruction. To that, extent now and then does most of the damage and brings happiness to a few and sadness misery to many people.  Thus, war has threatened the people of the period. At that time when the word war was mentioned, it was mostly about Moovendhars of Tamilnadu, The kings considered that the best form of fight is a moral way and die with the mortal wound. War is a biological necessity in human life at Sangam times. It is said to be an essential onr for regulating human life. In this way, this article has the objective to study the war glories of the Kings of Purananooru.
