Lagomorpha Brandt, 1855:
es retomado tentativamente el binomio Sylvilagus andinus (Thomas, 1897) [localidad tipo: W slope of Cayambé Mt, Province of Pichincha, Cantón Cayambe, Eastern Cordillera, Ecuador, 4,000 m (0° 01′ 47,24″ N, 78° 01′ 26,89″ W)], anteriormente considerada una subespecie de S. brasiliensis (Linnaeus, 1758), distribuida en el páramo y subpáramo de los Andes venezolanos (Ruedas et al. 2017, 2019).
