Particle-in-cell simulations of magnetized crossbeam energy transfer
Description
This data set is for 2D-3V particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations of magnetized crossbeam energy transfer (MagCBET). The data set is post processed PIC data. The PIC data is produced using the EPOCH code. The post processing is performed using the data analysis code https://gitlab.com/seanYuanSHI/magnetized-cross-beam-energy-transfer.
The data set is for three plasma conditions. The folder /n3.5T800 is for carbon plasma at density ne=3.5e20 cc and Te=800 eV. The folder /n3T400 and /n3T1200 are for hydrogen plasma at density ne=3e20 cc and Te=400 eV and 1200 eV, respectively. More details regarding the PIC setup can be found in */input.deck, in respective folders.
In folder and files named with "zz", the pump and seed lasers initially have parallel linear polarizations, and for "zy", the pump and seed lasers have initially perpendicular linear polarizations.
- When eigenmodes are distinguished, files named like "gain_real_B<B>_zz.txt" are CBET gain curves at magnetic field strength B=<B>T. Files named like "transfer_real_zz.txt" are integrated gain curves over detuning. Files named like "transfer_real_zz_dL0.9.txt" are gain at wavelength detuning 0.9 angstrom.
- When eigenmodes are not distinguished, gains are extracted from total wave energy, which is obtained by integrating the Fourier power spectrum. Files named like "gain_B<B>_zz.txt" are gain curves, files named like "transfer_zz.txt" are integrated gain, and files named like "transfer_zz_dL0.9.txt" is gain at 0.9 angstrom detuning.
