Attitudes of Researchers to Diamond Open Access in the Netherlands: Survey Report

This report presents findings from a 2025 survey on the attitudes of researchers in the Netherlands toward Diamond Open Access (DOA) publishing. Conducted as part of the national program Strengthening Diamond Open Access in the Netherlands, the study explores researchers’ awareness, motivations, and perceived barriers related to DOA. The report includes both quantitative survey results and qualitative insights from follow-up interviews. It aims to inform institutional strategies, infrastructure development, and policy efforts to promote equitable and sustainable scholarly publishing.
