The Evolution of GDP in OECD Countries (2010–2024): Growth, Crisis, and Recovery

Authors/Creators

Description

Below is an in-depth analysis of annual gross national disposable income (GDP) data in international PPP dollars (Purchasing Power Parity) for a sample of OECD countries during the period from 2010 to 2024. The values, expressed in millions of dollars at current prices, allow us to observe the economic trends of both advanced and emerging economies, with particular attention to growth dynamics, external shocks, and medium-term prospects.

Current-price GDP converted into PPP dollars is an effective tool for international comparisons, as it accounts for differences in price levels and cost of living among various countries. Analyzing this indicator’s trend provides valuable insights not only into each nation’s economic growth but also into the implications for disposable income, saving tendencies, and the borrowing or financing capacities of different economic systems.
