Cyprus Monument Sites, Museums, and Galleries.

A dataset containing spatial and attribure data for cultural facilities in Cyprus.

 Zone extent:

The extents of the dataset refer to the Government-controlled territories of the Republic of Cyprus. 

Cultural Facilities:

That data for all these culture-related facilities was retrieved from the official Visit  Cyprus website[1] where lists containing different cultural facilities are available.

Coordinate System: CGRS93

Data Preparation:

We processed these lists to obtain coordinates based on their names. Then, using Python in Jupiter notes, we obtained the coordinates for each address (Longitude and Latitude) using an API key from OpenStreetMap. However, a manual review of all the points was needed as some addresses provided initially on the list were not accurate or were not written appropriately. So, some points were edited manually and directly in QGIS to their accurate addresses.
